En 1962, la maison est construite au milieu d'une forêt de chênes, près d'une rivière recouverte de rochers (chaos du Sidobre) et surtout près d'un vieux moulin à eau... d'où le nom...
Un peu délaissée pour quelques années, la maison est réouverte en août 1997 pour de brefs séjours et en 2005 nous décidons d'y vivre à plein temps, cette maison de campagne devient une maison de tous les jours, avec tout le confort.
Notre ami Jacques Borzycki, artiste peintre, va profiter de nos absences et utiliser ce lieu magique pour créer et se ressourcer.
En 2008, la piscine est enfin remise en eau.... souvenirs....souvenirs !
Cette année nous décidons de louer le Moulin.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------In 1962, the house was built in the middle of an oak forest, near a stream running through a cascade of giant granite boulders (known locally as the "Chaos du Sidobre") and an ancient water-mill .... it's a magical site!
It was used irregularly as a holiday cottage for several years, but when I returned from the States in 1997, I was very happy to rediscover the house and decided to live there full time. In January 2005 we started a 4 month long, extensive modernisation programme and I finally moved back in that May. Two years later, when I had to move to Paris, I welcomed my friend Jacques Borzycki (a well-known local artist) as a special guest. In 2008, we completed the restoration of the the swimming pool and this year (2010) have decided to rent out the house for part of the summer. This will help with extensive forestry maintenance .
